I met Vicki Leon at a Writer's Retreat in Santa Barbara a few years ago and have seen her give workshops on Writing Nonfiction. Not only is she prolific and funny, she is also very knowledgeable about research.
I have known Greg Pincus for many years. He is funny, kind and a great presenter on the topic of Social Media. I highly recommend his blog The Happy Accident, and SCBWI chapters anywhere would be wise to hire him for their conferences. I recently had the opportunity to attend a cyber promotion retreat where Greg was on the faculty. He graciously agreed to give us a Cyber Tip of the Day.
It is always a pleasure to spend time with Lisa Yee. She has me rolling in the aisles whenever she speaks, and her blog posts are just as funny. I was lucky enough to spend some time with Lisa at the SCBWI Cyber Retreat in Santa Barbara last January. I give you Lisa Yee, award winning children's book author and Blog Queen.
Lee Wind is one of the great new forces in children's literature. He has been part of the SCBWI blogging team the last few years. His blog, "I'm Here. I'm Queer. What the Hell do I Read?" was voted Best GLBT Book Review Blog, BBAW 2009. His new blog, The Zen of Blogging is great. Today I debut his second episode: "1 minute to Blogging Greatness, Episode #2: Twitter For Bloggers - The Top 3 Things You Can Do!" I give you Lee Wind.
I've heard it said that Anastasia Suen has enough energy to power a city, and I have to agree. She is also funny, kind, warm, and a clear, precise teacher. Her workshops at the SCBWI Cyber Promotion Retreat in January were a pleasure. Here she shares some interesting Cyber tips for our benefit.
